About Us

We are both former pastors of non-denominational churches with 55 years of experience and lots of happy memories and, more importantly, a deep yearning for the “How much more of our Heavenly Father.”  We have been good friends for a number of years and have decided to join our hearts to write this blog where we will explore the vastness and tenderness of God’s Kingdom.  Since the days of John the Baptist it has been forcefully advancing and when you touch it you’ll want to sell all to possess it so great is its value.

We’ll also explore other topics God saw fit to make a big part of our lives.  Some of it you’ll find heart-rending, some inspiring and some just plain humorous.  Wait til you hear how Keith learned that God wants to talk with him more than he wanted to hear!

In the end, our goal is to encourage and to make you hungry for more.  Sitting in a pew for an hour or two watching a few talented people exercise their gifts isn’t all that awaits you.  You, my friend, are an original masterpiece, being carved out of the clay of everyday experiences.  Don’t settle for less.  As we hunger for more, we will be satisfied.  Let’s go for gold.

I used to be a person who used to watch, as you say “a few talented people exercise their gifts” heck, I even used to be one! But now I’m not, I just can’t do the pew/chair thing, I love Jesus deeply, I love those who love him and I love those who I work and play with who do not. I’m not very sure about anything else. Do you mind if i join in?

      Hi David,

Not at all! Welcome! You might also like to check out frankviola.org. Frank is one of a growing number of leaders who were where you are and pressed through to help reimagine what the church could become. He’s written a number of books you might find helpful as well. We’re happy to have you join us.

      Your brother,
